Step into the woods and into the pages of a classic survival story.
Inspired by the book My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George, this immersive, hands-on camp invites middle schoolers to experience the skills, challenges, and quiet wonder of simple living in the natural world. Campers will travel wooded trails, build shelters, practice navigation, observe wildlife, and learn foundational outdoor skills—all while engaging with short, guided excerpts from the novel along the way.
This camp is ideal for curious, thoughtful, and adventurous kids—whether they love books, the outdoors, or both.
